SPOKANE, Wash. — A man tried to steal money from a coffee stand then attacked the barista and took off in her truck, according to Spokane police.
It happened at Hot Toddys around 6:00 a.m. on Francis and Atlantic in North Spokane. The suspect walked up to the window of the drive-through shop and ordered a coffee.
Police said he then jumped through the window and pepper sprayed the woman in the face. The man also reportedly showed a knife.
