SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane City Council members Mike Fagan and Mike Allen are introducing a new ordinance dealing with public nudity. The ordinance would tighten up the rules on public nudity by requiring more to be covered or restrict the areas where these type of businesses can operate.



Drive-thru coffee stand owners in Spokane, Washington, are employing a scantily-clad business tactic that has boosted sales — and complaints.

This is the city of the so-called “bikini barista,” where topless baristas wearing pasties serve coffee from drive-true coffee stands that have names like “Bare Beans,” “Big Shots” and “Devil’s Brew.”

EVERETT, Wash. — City leaders say the time has come to demolish a series of abandoned bikini barista kiosks throughout the city.

The five roadside coffee stands are part of the former Java Juggs and Twin Peaks chain that was raided and shut down by Everett police, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and FBI agents in 2013. An undercover investigation found that baristas were engaging in sex shows and prostitution to earn bigger tips.

The bulldozer ripped into the pink and purple walls at the two Everett, Washington, coffee stands previously used in a prostitution ring.

The coffee stands where bikini-clad baristas served a bit more than coffee to Washington state drivers are no more.

Not content to let Clovis have all the fun, Fresno appears to be the next home to a coffee stand staffed by scantily-clad female baristas.

Pink Pantherz Espresso, which has a location in Modesto, plans to open a store this week at 3862 W. Shaw, in a former Planet Java drive-thru at the corner of Shaw and Brawley avenues in a part of town that has seen a flourish of retail activity.
